Like Daytona Beach, motor vehicles are permitted on the beach in designated areas for a daily fee of $6.00. Remember, no alcohol or glass is allowed and pets must be kept on a leash. Lifeguards are on duty on a seasonal basis.
St. Augustine Beach is famous for miles of beautiful sand coupled with great weather year-round. Located on a barrier island that naturally create an island waterway and miles of waterfront property which is home to a variety of public beaches perfect for recreation and relaxation.
Don't forget of visit St. Johns County Ocean Pier which is a four acre beachfront park with free parking, children's playground, picnic area, rest rooms, a covered pavilion, refreshments and lighted beach volleyball courts.
Vacationers do not live by the beach alone, St. Augustine offer a wide variety of things to do including the local attractions of historic downtown St. Augustine, St. Augustine Lighthouse, Marineland, Anastasia State Park, World Golf Hall of Fame & IMAX Theater, St. Augustine Outlet Malls, Ripley's Believe it or Not, and nearby golf courses.

4th of July Concert & Fireworks
6 p.m. with the All Star Orchestra performing in the Plaza de la Constitucion. At 9:30 p.m., one of the largest fireworks displays on the East Coast bursts above the ancient Castillo de San Marcos and reflects in the waters of Matanzas Bay. Admission is free with the best vantage points along the bay front between the Castillo and the Bridge of Lions.

Developers ready to move forward on Guy Harvey Outpost Resort in St. Augustine Beach
The Guy Harvey Outpost Beach Resort will replace the Holiday Isle Oceanfront Resort on A1A Beach Boulevard, and the new hotel could be open as soon as Memorial Day weekend, company representatives said. The resort is expected to have about 150 rooms.
